By Popular Demand The Dormy House Winter Sale Is Coming.October 29th, 2012

The Dormy House Winter Sale

By popular demand we are delighted to announce the Dormy House factory sale on Friday 9th November from 3.30pm – 7.30pm and on Saturday 10th November at 9.30am to 12.30pm. There will be furniture and soft furnishings with up to 75% off end of line, ex-display and photo shoot pieces, some slight seconds and lots of fabulous fabrics to rummage through.
Please remember to dress warm as the factory does get very cold although you can always huddle around the barbeque and treat yourself to a tasty hot dog (thanks to John Robinson Butchers, Stockbridge) and a hot drink too.
The start of the sale is always busy and we do ask please not to come early as we do need time to set up and get organised for the rush! Those of you who have been before will know what I mean!
We do hope as many of you can make it and look forward to seeing you at the Dormy House, Sterling Park, East Portway Industrial Estate, Andover, Hampshire, SP10 3TZ

Use a footstool to create an eye-catching centrepiece for your living room which can also be used as a useful occasional table or coffee table as Ideal Home magazine have illustrated in the July issue with our elegant storage footstool which
provides generous space for tucking away magazines and CDs.

A vintage inspired screen is perfect for creating intimate corners and dividing open plan living spaces, and can add a dramatic visual impact to any room. We love the classic prints that Homes & Garden have used on our serpentine screen in the July 2012 issue. We are able to supply upholstered screens in a variety of styles and sizes and covered in your choice of fabric.

Work Like A Dog…February 21st, 2012

One of the best parts of arriving to work at The Dormy House is the fact that we boast a dog-friendly office.

This year we all had a lovely surprise when we returned to find that Barney was the latest addition to our team. With his button nose and big mischievous eyes he’s very hard not to adore. Every morning behind the stampede of feet entering The Dormy House you can hear Barney fumbling up the stairs at full steam to perform his usual ‘meet and greet’. This currently consists of jumping on anyone and everyone within range to wish them all a good morning.

Not only have we all become rather fond of Barney, but Barney has become rather fond of The Dormy House offices and the furniture we have in situ here. His new favorite item is a rather spectacular Louis Armchair we have in the Fabric Room. Admittedly he does look rather grand sat upon it with our Pebbles 02 fabric giving a subtle impression of ‘Dog Royalty’.

No doubt Barney will become a very familiar face here at The Dormy House for many years to come.

Small furniture additions can add that wow factorFebruary 9th, 2012

We offer a unique bespoke element that you’re unlikely to find elsewhere… Our classic collection of beautiful and practical furniture and soft furnishings will have something to please all tastes and blend seamlessly with your existing home decor.

Small furniture additions can add that wow factor without committing to a whole new scheme.  Good Homes magazine shows exactly this in the March issue with our upholstered cubes covered in Fougere Portico Acacia fabric from Romo @ £39.50/m, and upholstered screen in Nevada Tropical fabric (5920/522) @£15.99/m from Prestigious Textiles.

Remember! We are always happy to  source fabrics outside of our collection.
