When you’re shopping for a bed and mattress combination with us, you’ll find the two elements are sold separately. Why? Well, this way you can choose both the bed and mattress that suit you best rather than having the choice made for you. For beds with mattress, pick the base first. We offer plain divans covered in classic fabrics, divans you can order with your own choice of fabric, bed bases for which, once again, you can select the upholstery fabric to personalise your bed, and ottoman divans, which conceal generous storage in the base. Next pick the mattress. We have a pocket sprung super deluxe mattress with 1400 springs (based on a king size), which provides medium/firm support. Like memory foam as well? Then add our deluxe memory foam mattress to your divan or bed base. It has a top layer of memory foam that moulds to your body shape for comfort throughout the night, and is made with 1000 pocket springs (based on a king size). For beds with mattress for children’s rooms, we offer both a sleigh bed and classic bed and single mattresses to go with them.
Divans can be a brilliant option for both rooms used every night and guest spaces. They’re made up of a base plus mattress. If you’re using the bed every night, we recommend you opt for our super-deluxe divan, which has a superior fully sprung base. Teamed with a pocket sprung mattress the two sections work in harmony and the sprung base will mean the mattress has a longer life. For guest rooms divans with a non-sprung base can be a budget-friendly choice. Ours is made in hardwood for durability. If your bedroom is short on storage space, divans can also prove a clever buy, gaining you extra storage without filling up more floor space. A divan can include lots of room for all sorts in the base without compromising its comfort. Picture space to stash spare bedding, bed linen, throws and cushions, and out of season clothing and you’ll see the benefit. You can pick from divans with drawers in the base for handy extra bedroom storage, or boost it even further with an ottoman divan. The platform top of an ottoman divan lifts up on its easy action pistons, creating access to storage throughout the base.
It’s always worth buying the largest bed size your room will accommodate to get the best night’s sleep, especially if there are two of you sharing. For most of our divans and bed bases we offer the following size options: single, small double, double, king size and super-king size, although not all designs include a small double design. When it comes to children’s rooms, the beds are singles with the following sizes: sleigh bed W:101cm L:202cm H:92cm and classic bed W:103cm D:202cm H:84cm. We do recommend buying both the divan or bed base plus mattress together. This way, you can be sure the two fit exactly. British bed sizes are not standard, so if you were to choose a mattress elsewhere the dimensions might not match the bed.
