You can upgrade the drawers so they are fitted with heavy-duty runners. This makes opening and closing much easier, although without runners the mechanism is still smooth but would require two hands on large drawers.

Delivery Times and rates

Our furniture is made for you in our Hampshire workshop. 

Painted furniture
Production lead time is around 8-10 weeks
Please allow approx. 12 weeks for delivery to be scheduled.

Sofas and armchairs – allow 8-10 weeks
Beds & mattresses – within 3-4 weeks
Headboards, footstools and other upholstery orders – within 4-6 weeks
Curtains, blinds and other soft furnishing orders – 4-6 weeks.

Delivery times may vary as they depend on the delivery location. Our team will contact you to arrange a suitable date.

Our standard 2-man delivery on heavy furniture is to most of mainland UK, but doesn’t cover the following areas:
AB, CH, DD, DH, DG, EH, EX, G, HS, HU, HX, IV, KA, KH, KY, KW, LA,LD, LL, LS, ML, NE, NR, PA, PH, PL, TD, TQ, SA, SR, TR, TS, TS, WA, YO, ZE.
We can still deliver to these areas but please email us at sales@thedormyhouse.com for a quotation.
