1. General Provisions

Promoter: The promoter of this giveaway is The Dormy House, trading as The Dormy House Furniture and Soft Furnishings (UK) Ltd. with its registered office at The Dormy House, Glebe House, Knights Enham, SP10 4DS.

  • Giveaway Name: Black Friday Giveaway (the "Giveaway").
  • Giveaway Period: The Giveaway begins on 28th November and closes at 11:59 pm GMT on 5th December.
  • Entry Platform: Entries are accepted via the official Instagram account of The Dormy House (@TheDormyHouse).
  • Acceptance of Terms: By entering this Giveaway, the entrant ("You") agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility Requirements

  • Age: Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Residence: This Giveaway is open to residents of the United Kingdom only.
  • Exclusions: Employees, representatives and agents of The Dormy House, its subsidiaries and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
  • Instagram Account: Entrants must have a non-private Instagram account so that The Dormy House can verify all mandatory entry steps, including the optional Story share.

3. How to Enter

A single entry is automatically accepted upon completion of all mandatory steps:

  1. Follow: Follow The Dormy House official Instagram account (@TheDormyHouse).
  2. Like: Like the specific Giveaway announcement post.
  3. Tag: Tag one (1) friend in the comments of the Giveaway announcement post.
  4. Newsletter Sign-Up: Sign up to The Dormy House email newsletter via the link provided in the Instagram bio (thedormyhouse.com).

Optional Extra Entry:

  • Reshare: Share the Giveaway announcement post to Your Instagram Story and tag the official account (@TheDormyHouse). This action grants one (1) additional entry.

4. The Prize

  • Prize: One (1) winner will receive £450 (Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds Sterling) to spend on products available on the thedormyhouse.com website.
  • Redemption Requirement: The full £450 voucher must be redeemed in a single, one-off transaction. No change, credit, or remaining balance will be issued if the order value is less than £450. If the order value exceeds £450, the winner must pay the difference.
  • Non-Transferable: The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered.
  • Validity: The prize must be redeemed within 12 months from the date the winner is announced. Standard Dormy House T&Cs for product purchases will apply.

5. Winner Selection and Notification

  • Selection: The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries (including mandatory and extra entries) received before the closing date.
  • Contact: The winner will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message (DM) by the official @TheDormyHouse account only and announced after entries close on 5th December.
  • Claiming the Prize: The winner must respond to the notification DM within 48 hours to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within this timeframe, The Dormy House reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
  • Verification: The Dormy House reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and may require proof of age and residence.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

  • Data Use: By entering, You consent to The Dormy House using your Instagram handle and email address (for newsletter sign-up) for the purpose of administering the Giveaway and for marketing communications (if You do not unsubscribe from the newsletter).
  • Winner Announcement: The winner agrees to the use of their Instagram handle for the purpose of announcing the winner publicly on The Dormy House social media channels.
  • Data Policy: All personal data will be processed in accordance with The Dormy House Privacy Policy, available on the website.

7. Release and Limitations

  • Instagram Release: This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram. By entering, You release Instagram from any and all liability related to this Giveaway.
  • Disclaimer: The Dormy House accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
  • Right to Cancel/Amend: The Dormy House reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Giveaway or these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
