Each home’s individual media storage needs vary as do room dimensions, but with our modular units yours can be customised to suit. You’ll be able to choose any size from a one element to nine element design, and you can combine our selection of both single and double units to fit the space available along the wall of your room. Our online planner is drag and drop so you can position the units you want on the grid, then edit the design as required until it’s perfect. The finished piece has one plinth and top to create a single stylish piece of furniture with the individual units you’ve selected placed side by side into the recess of the plinth to create your design. Once your piece of furniture is perfect in terms of its dimensions and storage capacity, select the paint colour from our range of beautiful shades, and either opt for the wooden knobs painted in the same colour as your media storage unit or choose from our wide range of shapely handles and knobs to co-ordinate with other decorative elements in your room.
To allow you to create the media storage that’s ideal for your home, we offer a complete range of units you can combine in your piece of furniture. The appliance shelf unit for set-top boxes, consoles and more is designed without a back and at three-quarter depth for easy access to cables. For DVD or CD storage, we offer a drawer unit that has heavy gauge full extension gliders so you can quickly locate all your films and music. Each drawer can hold 102 CDs or 54 DVDs so you can house your collections neatly, even if they’re large. The single cupboard has an adjustable or removable shelf so you can arrange it to make a home for the items you need to tidy away behind a door, and there’s a double version you can include as part of your piece of furniture instead or in addition. There’s also a two drawer unit to provide storage for smaller items so you won’t mislay them. Don’t forget to allow for future storage needs as well as your current requirements when you’re planning so there’s space for collections to expand.
Your customised media storage unit can be finished in any of the beautiful shades from our paint range. For a small room, a pale colour could be the best option as it will recede from the eye to make the room feel bigger. Picking one of these is also a smart move if your room doesn’t receive as much natural light as you’d like because of its orientation, or because it has small windows. If you like the idea of making your media unit more of a feature, opt to have it painted in a mid to darker tone. Ink is a sophisticated blue with enduring style, while smoked shale makes a modern statement, if darks are your preference. Think, too, about whether you want your media unit to blend subtly with the colour of the wall behind, or to create a contrast and draw the eye to your piece of furniture.
