Our standard 2-man delivery on heavy furniture is to most of mainland UK, but doesn’t cover the following areas:
AB, DD, DH, DG, EH, EX, G, HS, IV, KA, KH, KY, KW, LA, LL, ML, NE, PA, PH, PL, TD, TQ, SA,TR, ZE.
We can still deliver to these areas but please email us at sales@thedormyhouse.com for a quotation.

A headboard can turn a bed into a fabulous focal point, but it’s worth considering the merits of both a fixed cover version (of which we have a huge collection) or a loose headboard cover. A loose headboard cover is lightly padded, so when it’s teamed with our square rectangular shaped headboard, you’ll feel the benefit of both the headboard’s foam and the padding of the headboard cover. In other words, the headboard cover plus headboard combination can feel extra luxurious to lie back on. Bear in mind that our square rectangular headboard has 5cm thick foam for the 76cm high version, and 8cm thick foam with the 100cm height. You might also want to choose a headboard cover because it will strike a different style note in your bedroom with a more country vibe than a fixed cover headboard.
To give your home individual style, we offer the pick of the fabrics from our huge collection for your headboard covers. If you go for a plain in a neutral tone, we suggest using a textured fabric that will add subtle interest to your room scheme. Alternatively, you can go for a naturally inspired colourway for the fabric that could enhance the country atmosphere of the scheme. Or, consider stripes to give your bedroom a fresh coastal vibe. Bold shades could add an on-trend colour block, as a further option. Patterned fabrics can make your headboard cover an eye-catching feature, though. We have a great selection of checks and stripes that would work well for a headboard cover with modern country credentials. Or try a geometric or more abstract pattern to grab attention. Keep your headboard covers in good shape by vacuuming weekly using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner and a gentle suction setting.
