Design your own modular children’s study space

Create your own modular twin-desk study hub and give two children room to work side by side. Twin work bays frame a central open-shelving tower, ideal for favourite books and trophies, while nine deep drawers and twin cupboards hide laptops, art supplies and homework folders. A crisp white finish keeps the space bright, patterned chairs add subtle texture, and a gentle pop of coral lifts the look.

Each element is built from sturdy, paint-ready MDF and can be finished in any Dormy House shade. Use the modular grid to mix and match drawer chests, cupboards and knee-hole desks, then top with shelves or glazed bookcases to the height you prefer. Choose paint colours, handles and chair fabrics that suit your room, and we’ll craft, paint and deliver a study space ready for lessons, creative projects and quiet reading.

The desktop is 65cm deep, which includes an overhang of 7cm at the back of the pedestals to allow easy access to plug sockets.

Step by step guide to building your modular furniture:

• Measure the length of your desired wall storage and select the appropriate base units using our modular grid function in the 'get started' section. You simply select the components to populate the grid.
  
  
• The size will show in the grid as you combine the units to create your ideal configuration. A single pedestal measures 40cm wide and a double pedestal 80cm wide, kneehole spaces are 80cm wide but can be tailored to your required size.
