It’s the start of the New Year and as tradition tells us, now is the time to set some personal goals for 2023. Truth be told, any time is right , but there’s something that feels so fresh about a New Year that inspires us all even more.

Putting Pen to Paper

The first step to setting yourself goals is to write them down. There’s something really powerful about putting pen to paper and physically writing your goals out into reality. To do that though, you will of course need a dedicated working space. The Dormy House Bruton Home Office is the perfect spot to do just that. With an optional added noticeboard, you can also pin up your plans as a reminder to keep you on the path to success. This is a timeless piece that can be tucked away after use!

No matter your interior style, we have desks and bureaus to accommodate your needs and help you feel inspired while working in harmony with your home. Whether your space requires something small and neat, or grand and modular - browse our selection here.

Set Deadlines

Give yourself a deadline for each goal you set and organise them into short-, medium-, and long-term goals. While it might seem trivial, this will really help you stay on track and motivate you to achieve them. Don’t worry if you miss the deadline, just keep it in mind and continue to work towards your aspirations.

Plan, Plan, Plan

You’ve done the hard part by soul searching to find the things that will fulfil you, but now it’s time to make a plan of action. For instance, if you want to decorate a space within your home, take it back to the bare bones. Do you need to remove wallpaper, paint your walls, or mood board colours and furniture items? All of these elements will help you get on the road to your interior design success.

If you’re unsure of where to start with mood boarding, take a look at our free paint and fabric samples to help you pick from a variety of colours, patterns and textures.
